Minus Head Records Sign Bay Area Trio, BLACK MAP
BAND FEATURES MEMBERS OF DREDG, FAR AND THE TROPHY FIRE
Black Map, who the San Francisco Bay Guardian described as “epic, guitar-driven, smart-art-rock-meets-anthemic-metal,” features guitar player Mark Engles (Dredg), singer/bass player Ben Flanagan (The Trophy Fire) and drummer Chris Robyn (Far/Crosses).
“We are really excited to be working with Black Map,” said Brad Hardie, Minus Head Records’ label owner. “These vets bring an aggressive edge to their new material.”
Black Map is currently at Hellam Sound in Oakland, Calif. recording their full-length debut with producer Aaron Hellam. The album is slated for a fall release. Black Map self-released Driver, a four-song EP, earlier this year. “I’m Just The Driver,” a song featured on both the EP and forthcoming full-length, is streaming via YouTube:
