TRUE WIDOW Reveal ‘Avvolgere’ Album Details + Pre-Orders, Premiere “Entheogen”
Dallas trio TRUE WIDOW have announced their fourth album Avvolgere, due out this Sept. 23 on CD/2xLP/DLX 2xLP/Digital via Relapse Records. The forthcoming LP perfects the formula that 2013's Circumambulation established: Avvolgere rocks and rolls with serene, rounded climaxes and steep, jangling choruses that engulf the listener with waves of downbeat, saccharine melodies and mesmerizing distortion. TRUE WIDOW's signature alternation between male and female vocals helps further blur the boundaries between the heft of stoner rock, the droning atmosphere of shoegaze, and the twangy catchiness of blues and indie rock. It's both concise and circuitous - the album takes you on a journey that you can't ever quite predict or expect. Avvolgere is TRUE WIDOW sounding more infectious and consummate than ever before.

ELIOT SUMNER Announces August and September Tour Dates With On An On
Song: "Dead Arms & Dead Legs"
9/3 San Francisco, CA @ Popscene at Rickshaw Stop With On An On

Eliot Sumner announces tour dates with On An On with stops including San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and more. The tour follows the premiere of "Dead Arms & Dead Legs", Eliot's first new music of 2015
Eliot's EP Information, which was released in 2014 via Cherrytree/Interscope still bore some of the synth-pop hallmarks of her output as I Blame Coco, but its release captured a new audience with a renewed sense of focus and clarity. There are some more sophisticated influences on the record, from her favorite band as a teenager, the Bad Seeds, to bands like Cluster, Faust, and Kraftwerk. Following the release of the EP, Eliot joined Lykke Li as support on her European tour dates. The backstage antics of Eliot and her band were captured in a three-part behind the scenes documentary that featured on i-D, "On the Road with Eliot Sumner and Lykke Li".
"There's a newly minted swagger to her pop" - Noisey
"Eliot Sumner will have you dancing with new single 'After Dark'" - Billboard
"['Dead Arms & Dead Legs' is] brooding, minimal, beautiful" - The Sunday Times (UK)
"['Dead Arms & Dead Legs' is] a pretty huge pop song, with Sumner's androgynous alto sounding dusty and world-weary over a cloudy melody, anxious percussion, and-by song's end-a seasick swell of feedback" - The Fader

Sights & Sounds: Band: STORIES - Album: "THE YOUTH TO BECOME"
New video
Band: Stories
Song: "Under Haze"

Pre-Order on iTunes:

[iframe id="https://www.youtube.com/embed/iKRejeIBbJE"]
"The Youth To Become is a powerful demonstration of what's possible when talent meets dedication. A record of poise and punch, Stories' debut full-length is the sound of five young men rewriting the rules of heavy music.
Led by Morgan Dodson, Stories have created a record that aches with taut pressure. The Youth To Become is a caustic blast of energy created by Dodson, his guitarist brother Nic, guitarist Sean Young, bassist Luke Fuller and drummer Roscoe Frazier who draws influence from post-hardcore, metal, alternative and progressive rock, but never dwells too long on a particular style. And considering they were discovered by Northlane guitarist Josh Smith, who nurtured them from an early stage, that scope makes sense.
With two brothers guiding the creative process - Nic writes the music and Morgan the lyrics - Storieshave evolved into one of the most exciting young heavy bands in the world. "Because we're brothers, we tend to be on the same sort of track with a lot of our opinions and feelings," explains Morgan. "This has been the case since I can remember. Since we started writing The Youth To Become, our bond has certainly strengthened more and more, and I definitely feel like we make a good team when working anything creative together."
Today, Stories reveal the first single from the album 'Under Haze.' Morgan explains the track: "Being the last song we wrote on the album, it took little pieces from each stretch of the record and came together with a pretty dark vibe. We knew right from when we wrote it that it would be a cool song for people to hear first. Lyrically, I feel like I created a strong sense of imagery with this track, and it parallels with the high energy of the sounds."

THE SHEEPDOGS Announce North American Tour Dates This Fall
New Album Future Nostalgia Out October 2 via Dine Alone Records
[iframe id="https://www.youtube.com/embed/-uJ1tfEk2uU"]
Following a string of festival appearances over the summer, The Sheepdogs will embark on an extensive North American tour beginning in September and making stops in Austin, Los Angeles, Chicago, Denver, Nashville and more.
The Sheepdogs remain steadfast in their commitment to rock n' roll excellence with their third album Future Nostalgia out October 2, 2015 via Dine Alone Records. Since their inception, the band has always sought to play the kind of music they themselves love: "Pure, simple, good-time music," as singer/guitarist Ewan Currie puts it. It's no surprise, then, that the album is firmly rooted in the rock tradition that listeners have come to expect from the boys.
Pre-order the album on iTunes HERE,
and can also pre-order bundles including merch on www.thesheepdogs.com.
Formed in Saskatoon, The Sheepdogs have followed in the footsteps of Canadian rock legends including Neil Young, The Band and The Guess Who with a bold take on classic guitar rock and polished retro sound. The band came into the national spotlight in 2011 as the first unsigned band to appear on the cover of Rolling Stone, which led to a performance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and a special appearance on Project Runway. A live favorite, The Sheepdogs have played at numerous festivals and headlining tours across North America, including performances at Bonnaroo, Coachella, Lollapalooza, opening for the likes of Kings of Leon and John Fogerty, and sharing the stage with Jason Sudeikis, Will Forte and Justin Long at Stones Fest. For their last self-titled LP, The Sheepdogs worked with Patrick Carney of The Black Keys to produce the collection, which debuted at No. 1 on the Canadian Top 200 SoundScan Chart, and garnered three No. 1 singles. The band has also won four JUNO awards, and been nominated for seven over their impressive career.
The Sheepdogs are Ewan Currie (lead vocal/guitar), Ryan Gullen (bass/vox), Sam Corbett (drums/vox), Shamus Currie (keys/horns) and Rusty Matyas (guitar/vox).
